Placement:
- Always place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
- Keep the candle away from flammable materials, drafts, and vibrations.
- Ensure the candle is out of reach of children and pets.
Lighting:
- Trim the wick to about 6mm before each use to prevent excessive flame and soot.
- Use a long match or lighter to safely light the candle.
Burning:
- Allow the candle to burn long enough for the entire top layer of wax to melt. This helps prevent tunnelling and ensures an even burn.
- Never burn the candle for more than 3-4 hours at a time.
- Do not burn the candle when there is less than 1 cm of wax remaining to avoid overheating the container.
Extinguishing:
- Use a candle snuffer to extinguish the flame. Blowing it out can cause hot wax to splatter.
- Ensure the wick is upright and centred after extinguishing the flame.
General Safety:
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Keep the candle away from drafts, vents, and air currents to prevent uneven burning and soot.
- Allow the candle to cool completely before handling or moving it.
- If the flame becomes too high or flickers excessively, extinguish the candle, let it cool, trim the wick, and relight it.
Storage:
- Store candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent discoloration and scent loss.
